Retail chain Quickmart Supermarkets has opened a new branch in Kiserian area to serve customers in Kiserian and the entire Ngong region.
Retailers have been closing shops for the last half a decade and complaining of a harsh economic environment but NOT QuickMart Supermarket which has opened a new branch, again.
The supermarket chain which continues to expand in the country has received a lot of criticism from different stakeholders in the FMCG industry with some citing that their expansion strategy is not clear. The retailer, targeting the middle-class, said a strategic investor and private equity (PE) firm Adenia Partners facilitated the expansion drive.
Quickmart Kiserian will operate on a 12-hour basis as we await the government to lift the 9 to 4 curfew and will be retailing fruits and vegetables, deli, bakery, butchery, and cereals.
Last month, QuickMart opened its first outlet in Nairobi city centre, upping the battle for shoppers after taking over the premises that Botswana-based Choppies, which plans to exit Kenya, occupied.
